RECAP: Open Gem @ Songbyrd 2.27.23

On a cold rainy Monday night The Gem assembled at Songbyrd DC for the monthly gathering of DMV creatives. While the weather outside was drab the vibes inside were on a totally different wavelength.

The night started with Philo "‘Opening the Gem” and setting the tone for the night with a fire set. Following Philo was ‘TEW Reviews Pick’ Leah Dates who brought the vocals to serenade the crowd with an acapella track and the genre bending ‘My G’. The energy didn’t drop of there with Curious kick off off the open mic with an energy that permeated the night as a whole.
